Thursday we had another meeting. I probably shouldn’t have waited until Tuesday to write the blog because now I forgot what we did. But I’m pretty sure Dylan did a bunch of programming with the light sensors, and now the robot can follow lights.

The team also discussed a possible fund raising opportunity at Chief’s stadium this fall.
Everyone else sat and chilled. And ate. (This week we had pizza and chips and a bunch of other stuff people brought)

We have another meeting this Thursday. I’ll probably not wait until Tuesday to update the blog again.

7/19/07- Work

Saturday, July 21st, 2007

I had to work tonight so I left the duty of taking pictures to my sister. And guess what? She took THREE pictures the whole night. It doesn’t matter if we even get anything done, I take pictures. Dub e…dub e.
Emma did a lot of work on the scrapblog tonight and it looks REALLY cool so CHECK IT OUT.

Tonight, as far as I can understand, Dylan’s working on programming the robot. I came home to a computer room full of guys and Emma on their lap tops, so it’s kind of hard to tell whats going on.

So I’m not sure what’s going on in this picture. So take your best guess.

I thought I didn’t have any thing else to post, but I do! Tonight Nathan put a little picture to go with our website. It’s a bronco. Way to go, Nathan! I will show you where to look to see it:

Now, I don’t really have anything else to put except this: Here’s a picture of James

Lastly, here’s a shout out to Ambrose W. Thanks for hitting the blog so often! It makes the analytics/tracker look a lot better with at least two hits a day. : )

7/15/07- Vex Meetings

Saturday, July 21st, 2007

We had another meeting. I think I’ve started my blog posts with that sentence a few times. I’m going to use something different. So this is like the introduction.

After another meeting of the Broncobots, the Vex robot looks mostly the same. This week we had a new member join us. She’s actually a mentor for next year. Her name is Lynn Griffith and she’s going to be a new teacher next year at North. Mr. Reynold’s also came to the meeting.

Sheri Edwards, Dylan’s mom, came to our meeting also. She talked about possible fund raising ideas for next year. This time, wrapping paper may be an option.

Rex returned from all of his vacations looking tanner than any of the other members.

We’re trying to come up with a new logo. So that’s kind of what James and Dylan did.

James sporting his fancy Linux “Gimp.” Whatever that is.

See you all next week. I have to work, but everyone else will be there, HOPEFULLY.

7/9/07-Vex Meetings

Saturday, July 21st, 2007

We had another couple Vex meetings and we are making huge progress.
Not only does it move kind of smooth, it can successfully pick up balls and put them in cups!

Another nice thing about the meeting was that our good friend and website master James finally decided to join us. He was a huge help. He and Dylan are figuring out the programming and sensors on the robot. James also brought his family’s foreign exchange student to the meeting. He was a lot of fun.

We have two spoons engineered to where they can pick up the balls almost perfectly.

This week my pictures turned out kind of blurry, so I’m not going to post many. But some that I took that are really clear and interesting are as follow:
This is the squirrel that keeps emptying all of our bird feeders.

Emma and I started up a Scrapblog, which is an online scrapbook and it’s AWESOME. Please check it out! It’s still in the making, and it will continue to be a work in progress throughout the season.

I’ll post again on Thursday or Friday after our meeting, which is on Thursday at 6!
