Broncobots at ESSI at Kstate

Friday, May 30th, 2008

The Broncobots were invited to present today to the members of the Engineering and Science Summer Institute at Kstate in Manhattan, Kansas today. We graciously accepted : ) and along with Team Driven (who toted our robot in their trailer, thank you!!), we traveled to Manhattan. 1108 and 1710 were also there to talk to members of the camp that includes students (going to be juniors and seniors) from 3 different states and many different high schools.

In addition to talking about FIRST, we competed in a mock Overdrive game.

A huge thanks to the Sherman’s for putting this all together, and to Team Driven for hauling our robot.
And thanks to the ESSI kids for being an amazing group to present to.

The Broncobots and the other 6 teams that made it to the Championships were invited to a banquet at the Kauffman Foundation tonight. We got to show off our robot to sponsors of the KC Regional. We also got to hear Vince from Honeywell and Rex L from R & D speak, and they were both great!
Here are some pictures…

This video starts on Kick-off and ends off on Saturday in Atlanta. It’s pretty awesome. : ) (The concluding song is David Cook; doesn’t get better than that!) It’s actually my favorite one I’ve put together, so enjoy!
