Lots has been going on lately!!! I’ll try and go in chronological order, haha.
First of all, watch for a new addition on the website media section. All the recent newspaper articles featuring our team will be added. Probably not for a while though
It’s a plan though!!
Secondly, last Saturday we had 9 volunteers from the Broncobots volunteering at the Special Olympics at LSN!! Thanks to the Talley’s motorcycle club, we got to work the 100 meter dash with them. It was so much fun, we had timers and runners (Cameron, Kayla, and I ran the time sheets down before every race.
100m each time
) Watch for pictures soon!!
Next, we had lots of members at the LSN Academic Awards. We are so proud to have so many students being honored with academic achievements.
Here are a few of the low quality pictures my camera took.

And most recently, today we got to go to the Lee’s Summit Economic Development Council meeting. We had all three LS teams talking to local business men and women of Lee’s Summit. Before the lunch, we got to mingle and show off the robots. Then after lunch, one member from each of our teams talked.
Here’s our friend Mr. Plaas, LS School Board member and also an LSEDC member, introducing robotics.

Next was Sam from Team Driven then Nathan from West. Both did awesome; I’ve never heard their awesome stories before. So cool!!
Then I got to go up and chat for a few minutes. I used a notecard this time; kept my talk focused
(I was too short for the podium, if you were wondering. I opted to just talk loud, which I enjoy much much more)

I talked about our awesome Summit Robotics program, budgets and subteams, and working with ACE. We are planning to have them come out and work with us on our camps this year, which will be really really fun.
We also have plans to present to the LS School Board and City Council coming up, I’m excited!!
SATURDAY, MAY 9, 2009 IS THE LS CHALK WALK! The Broncobots will have their robot and people out at Lee’s Summit City Hall from 10AM - 3PM. Come see us!!
So continue to watch the blog, we have lots coming up!!
