Week 3 Rewind
Sunday, January 31st, 2010The clock is ticking, and we are getting closer to the end of build season! Here is the Week 3 Slideshow/video This week has brought many accomplishments. It always starts slow; we have to order parts and materials and design things out. We started off the week with a designed and prototyped kicker. The next step was taking the wood prototype and drawing it in CAD to be machined.
Next, the drive system was put into action when we received the belts and tensioners from Dayco. (THANK YOU!!) Finally on Saturday after a lot of hard work, the first test of the tank tread drive system occurred successfully!
Animation team is working hard after school on the 2010 Animation. Once I get more information I can pass it on!
Programming team has been working with last year’s robot figuring out codes and tracking the target. They are doing so awesome!
Website team has updated many parts of http://www.teambroncobots.com , including the media page containing a cool new photo gallery. Check it out!
Outreach has been in full swing. We recently sent 30 health packages to Haiti. We also sent 5 care packages to soldiers overseas and sent Valentine’s Day cards to Walter Reed Army Medical Center. Thanks to the donations of families of Broncobots, we have been able to brighten the days of many individuals. It’s always good to remember the bigger picture.
